A Human named Joseph and his cinnamon-furred Keleyat brother Tals decide to search for the ancient lost library rumored to be hidden somewhere in the deserts of St'tera. As they both find out, there are some truths that are too terrible to know....

This is the story that introduced my alien race, the ursoid Keleyat. The story is actually a rejoinder to the concept that those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it; the story postulates that those who actually do remember the past are the ones who will repeat its mistakes.

My second appearance in the annual Triangulation SF Anthology would be my last; the anthology did not even put out an issue in 2006, and in 2007 returned anew as an international collection of speculative fiction with authors from around the world. I was asked to help assist in its publication, and so went from being a Triangulation author to being a member of the editorial staff.
