"Doctor Niav's Papers" -- A GURPS Humanx Adventure
Pages 14-18, plus two sets of floorplans
When a delivery robot mixes up an order and delivers a dead man's diary to a party of adventurers, the stage is set to travel off-world in search of an archeologist's lost treasures.
This was my only foray into writing GURPS adventures. The story came easily enough, having been raised as I was on Alan Dean Foster's Tran-Ky-Ky books and his Humanx Commonwealth universe. It was also my first attempt at a race of ursoid aliens, who at this time still did not have a name--the proto-Keleyat of my later stories.
Trivia bit: did anyone ever notice the unnamed character in the adventure who, early on, booms out "young-feller-me-lad"?
