Tsivat Vatahd-Orinchal

Race: Keleyat
Gender: Female

Tsivat is a Vatahd-Orinchal which is the Keleyat term for a Warrior-Priestess. Unlike normal chaplains, whose rank is honorary, Tsivat's uniform rank is shown by way of a blue right sleeve--she holds actual military rank, has led Hu-Mon soldiers in battle, and is considered to be a combat officer. By tradition, although military chaplains have no actual rank, they are accorded an equivalent rank of Captain.

However, Tsivat is a Vatahd-Orinchal, a "warrior priestess" who has actually been under fire and led Hu-Mon troops in combat. She has held actual combat command of armed soldiers, and while this was quickly revoked by the civil authority, she holds actual military rank ... the only chaplain to do so, as a reward for her heroism in rallying a breaking squad of Hu-Mon soldiers after their Keleyat officer broke and ran away in terror, and not only holding the squad in place, but successfully commanding them under fire.

She is a Palltu, a First-Captain, in the Airlanding Brigade, and carries a bladed hortu staff as did the ancient warrior-priestesses of Melcheena. In addition, she bears the sacred pendant of the Tribe of St'to'mo.

She was personally chosen for this mission to the Hu-Mon homeworld by the Princess Kerisha of St'to'mo, and acts as her ecclesiastical representative, to be considered equal in status to the Kendae. In practice, Tsivat stands quiet and lets Res do all the talking, but the two are in accord with each other and work well together to serve the Chiin-Ehr.
